Return Gando (Jiandao) region to Corea (Korea)

The Gando (Jiandao) covenant is a treaty that was made between Japan and Qing (China) on September 4, 1909 right before Japan's occupation of Corea (Korea). This treaty has made the Gando region belong to China illegally. The Gando region is the birthplace of Corea (Korea). There are legal grounds that support that the Gando Covenant is invalid. "The Cairo Declaration" which was announced on December 1, 1943 states that all treaties, all rights and interests, and all privileges that were made available for Japan while Japan's invasion of the continent was taking place would be invalid and they shall be recovered to their previous status. That treaty was signed in Cairo by military ambassadors and diplomats of United States
, England, China and Japan.
There is another legal ground to support that the Covenant is invalid. A Peace Treaty was signed by China and Japan on April 28, 1952. According to the fourth clause of the treaty "all Treaties, Covenants, Agreements that were signed prior to December 9, 1941 shall be void and nullified.". Therefore there is no doubt about the fact that the Gando Covenant signed by China and Japan in 1909 is void and invalid based on the current international laws. The fact that China has tried to make this Gando region its territory without returning it to Corea (Korea) is in "violation of the Peace Treaty" which was signed by them. It is a serious violation of the international laws as well.
According to the UN laws of 1919 and the Vienna Agreement, it defines that it is void and invalid when any party was forced to sign an agreement against their will. Therefore, the Gando Covenant that was signed during Japan's occupation of Corea (Korea) is illegal, void and Invalid according to the UN laws and the Vienna Agreement.
Corea (Korea) has the right and the responsibility to reclaim the Gando region. This matter remains as a diplomatic task that needs urgent attention from Corea (Korea) and China.
The recovery of Gando region means the recovery of our nation's identity which would include the unification of the North and the South Corea (Korea), Coreans (Koreans) in China, and other Coreans (Koreans) overseas. The rightful claim of the Gando region is an important focal point that can tie all Coreans (Koreans) into one.
The Gando Recovery Movement Headquarters has been working to recover the Gando region from the People's Republic of China. We have filed a lawsuit in the International Judicial Courts for the Gando Region to be returned to the Unified government of Corea (Korea).
On October 7, 1964, even Mao Tse-tung, the Chairman of the People's Republic of China clearly announced his intention to return the Gando region to Corea (Korea). Thereby, we respectfully request the leaders of the People's Republic of China and the peace loving citizens of the People's Republic of China that the Gando region be returned to Corea (Korea) without any further delays.
